James Lawson, PLA

James Lawson is a licensed landscape architect based in the North Metro Atlanta area, with over a decade of experience blending creativity, technical skill, and thoughtful design. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia in 2011.

 

James began his career in 2012 as an urban designer with AECOM (formerly URS), contributing to municipal projects across Georgia. In 2016, he earned his professional licensure as a landscape architect.

 

Today, James serves as the Design & Sales Manager at Miller Landscape in Woodstock, GA. His work centers on high-quality residential design and construction, while also mentoring and supporting the firm’s growing design team.

While at UGA, James was a proud member of the Redcoat Marching Band, playing snare drum from 2006 to 2010. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife Jenny and stays active through running, biking, and cooking.
